The aim is to improve the efficiency of government e-services provided to citizens and businesses, increase citizens' digital skills, and increase jobs with digital technology.

The Steering Committee meeting for the “Smart Government II” project, is being implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications in partnerships with identified beneficiary agencies in the government, and with the World Bank’s support, was held on 2 July 2026.

During the meeting, the project's implementation progress and the results for the first half of the year were reviewed, and the procurement, disbursement, and implementation plans for the second half were endorsed.

The Steering Committee of the “Smart Governance II” project consists seven representatives from the Cabinet Secretariat, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy and Development, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Communications, and the E-Mongolia Academy.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Innovation (MDDIC) is currently implementing the Smart Government II Project for 2023–2027. The project is being implemented in partnerships with identified beneficiary agencies in the government, and with the World Bank’s support, aiming to improve the usability and efficiency of online public services to citizens and businesses and to increase digital skills and digital-enabled jobs.
