ABOUT PROJECT

Bring Mongolia’s digital government to the next phase of a whole-of-government approach for digitalization, expands the scope to include the development of a digital economy for the country’s economic diversification and competitiveness, and for digital-enabled jobs and growth.

LEGAL STATUS

The Parliament of Mongolia approved a law on Smart Government II Project Financial Agreement between Mongolia and International Development Association on January 10, 2023.

 


DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVE

The Project Development Objective (PDO) of this Project is to improve the quality and efficiency of online public services to citizens and businesses, and to increase digital skills and digital-enabled jobs in Mongolia.

Digital-enabled Jobs
  • Create 3,000 digital-enabled jobs for youths (especially women) and support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to adopt digital solutions to improve their productivity, competitiveness, and operational resiliency.
