“Statistical Data Production System Upgrade” project kick-off meeting was held today, January 23  2020, at National Statistics Office, Ulaanbaatar.

The Government of Mongolia has been implementing Smart Government Project, financed by the World Bank. Under the Project development objective, it has been committed to develop Digital Governance key foundation-Open Data.

Statistical Data Production System will be completely upgraded with advanced infrastructure solutions within 2020.  The contract  between Cabinet Secretariat of the Government, National Statistics Office (NSO) and Joint venture of “IT Zone” LLC and “GNSoft” Co.,ltd was signed last December. Since then, a number of working level meetings have been held to identify system requirements and to discuss hardware solutions.

All participants from all stakeholders including chairman, CEO, officials and engineers joined the kick-off meeting  and had discussion on project plan, system and hardware solutions and expected outcomes.

NSO Chairperson Mrs A.Ariunzaya, CIO Mr L.Myagmarsuren, Smart Government Project Coordinator Mrs Ch.Nurgul and IT zone LLC First Deputy chief Mr. B.Tseesuren participated the kick-off meeting.
